Local Insight

Brockenhurst visitors look you up before they leave the station

Brockenhurst has a mainline station, a college on its edge and a shopping street where ponies roam. The village is small, yet plenty of people pass through, and those arriving by train or on a day out often check where to eat, stay or hire a bike before they commit.

That check happens on a phone. If your offer, opening times and location are clear on a small screen, and your booking link or number is where they expect it, they can come straight to you.

See what we offer, browse past projects, and read our pages for Lyndhurst and Lymington.

Websites we have built

A few of the sites we have designed and built.

Pubs, stays, shops and bike hire: Brockenhurst websites by trade

Day trippers and locals use the same village businesses, so each site has to answer their questions quickly.

Pubs and cafes Show food serving times and the menu first, so a family off the train can pick somewhere to eat before they walk up the road.

Places to stay Put photos, room details and a booking button at the top, and say how far you are from the station for guests without a car.

Gift shops Show a few favourite items beside your opening hours, so day visitors can fit a browse around their train times.

Cycle hire and riding stables Make booking a bike or a ride the main button, list what is included and explain how to find you from the station or the A337.

Local trades Lead with a tap-to-call number and the villages of the southern forest you cover, for homeowners who need someone soon.

Planning a Brockenhurst site around trains, ponies and the A337

  • Direct trains run to London Waterloo, Southampton and Bournemouth, so a getting-here section tells visitors how far you are from the station on foot or by bike.
  • Ponies roam the village, Brookley Road included, so a photo taken in the street makes your homepage look like Brockenhurst straight away.
  • Day visitors are short of time, so opening hours and booking sit on the first screen of a phone.
  • The branch line runs on to Lymington Pier for the Isle of Wight ferry. If you serve people travelling that way, say so near the top.

Brockenhurst in the heart of the forest, and what it means online

3,488Residents at the 2021 census

Brockenhurst had 3,488 residents at the 2021 census, which makes it one of the largest villages in the New Forest. It sits in the heart of the National Park between Lyndhurst and Lymington, and ponies and other animals roam its main shopping street, Brookley Road.

It is also a rail junction. The mainline station has direct trains to London Waterloo, Southampton and Bournemouth, and a branch line runs to Lymington Pier for the Isle of Wight ferry. Anyone who comes by train has no car with them, so your site should say how to reach you on foot.

Our pages for Lyndhurst and Lymington cover the places on either side along the A337. Burley, to the west across the open forest, has its own page too.
